May 24-25, 2008: Farallon Whale Watch Sightings

Humpback breathSaturday's trip started with a sighting of about 50 harbor porpoises under the Golden Gate Bridge. About 4 miles SE of the Farallones, a gray whale surfaced about 5 yards from the boat and did a slow and complete circle around the vessel. Everyone onboard got a great view.

Belize Snorkel Outing

I wanted to take a moment to express to Kathy Cure and to her Oceanic Society management our overwhelming satisfaction with Kathy's leadership during our Belize  Snorkel outing.  Kathy's knowledge, enthusiasm, people skills, and vigor are unparalleled.

"This was more wonderful than I imagined. I loved island life - the simplicity. Snorkeling was a highlight, as was being out by the water"

"The cabana had everything I could ever want"

"The staff was so much part of the ambiance - any question was answered"

"The researcher listened and responded to any need or wishes. Her lectures were very well organized and full of facts. She presented everything well"

Blackbird Caye

"My husband's and my experience gets a five star rating because of Katherine Cure's dedication, skills as an educator and desire to make the Blackbird Caye expedition the most personally meaning experience for each and every one of us who participated during the April 18-26 expedition.
