Chris Biertuempfel manages Oceanic Society’s California-based operations, including the long-running Farallon Islands whale watching program as well as the Critter Scholars Program providing educational field-trips for students from underserved communities. Chris also works extensively as a naturalist and guide on trips to San Francisco’s Farallon Islands as well as multi-day wildlife expeditions to Mexico and Indonesia.
