This is a unique opportunity to witness the whales, dolphins, and other wildlife around the Farallon Islands with your group at a rate that offers you special savings.
SAN FRANCISCO Farallon Island Group Rate:
The SAN FRANCISCO cruises run 8 hours, departing from the San Francisco Yacht Harbor near Marina Green Park or an alternate pick up from Sausalito can be arranged. If you have 10 or more people, please call our office for special group rates. The vessel is shared with members of the public for a total boat capacity of 48 individuals plus naturalist and crew.
Private full-boat charters are available for week-ends and week-days. Please call: 415 256-9941 to request full-boat charter rates and terms.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Our 48-passenger vessels have open observation decks with limited indoor seating. Oceanic Society naturalists will accompany each trip to explain the natural history of the whales and ensure your comfort.
Reservations are on a first-come basis. To reserve space send your APPLICATION with a deposit of $200 per trip. The balance is due 3 weeks prior to departure. Payment of the balance must be in the form of one check per group. Visa or MasterCard are accepted for the $200 deposit only. All other payments must be made by check, money order or cashier's check. We reserve the right to cancel if full payment is not received on time. In such cases, the deposit is non-refundable.
In the case of cancellation by your group, fees paid to Oceanic Society more than 30 days prior to departure are refundable, less a $50 charge. There are no refunds if your group cancels less than 30 days prior to departure.
Rescheduling less than 30 days prior to departure is not permitted. For private full boat charters, rescheduling must be to like days only (i.e. weekdays to weekdays or weekends to weekends).
For reservations taken less than two weeks prior to departure Oceanic Society will assess an administrative late fee for processing your payment. The late fee is $1.00 per person. The total payment is due immediately by credit card payment for reservations taken less than two weeks prior to the departure date.
Trips may be cancelled by Oceanic Society due to under-subscription, hazardous sea conditions or other acts of God. If Oceanic Society Expeditions cancels a trip, you may reschedule within the season or request a refund before the end of the year less a $2/per person administrative fee. There are no automatic refunds. In no event shall our liability exceed the obligation to refund the amount you paid us. No-shows and latecomers who miss the boat will forfeit the entire fee.
Trips fill up quickly so early reservations are recommended. Please consult the Farallon Islands whale watch page for the dates and times that might best fit your schedule. We look forward to arranging a Whale Watch trip for your group.
