Andrea Jacqueline García Chávez, education director of the Whales of Guerrero Research Project, holds a B.S. in Biology from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico with a focus on boat-humpback whale interactions in Banderas Bay and is an Early Career National Geographic Explorer. An excellent whale spotter and an equally gifted teacher, she ignites a passion for marine biology, and especially for whales among youth and adults alike throughout the region through a range of educational programs and outreach activities.
