Katherina Audley, Founder/Director of the Whales of Guerrero Research Project, has participated in whale research projects around the world since 1997, and has 5 years’ working in the Research and Evaluation department at San Francisco’s Exploratorium. A travel writer and photographer since 1995, Katherina has a 24-year history with her study region in Mexico. Katherina is a National Geographic Explorer and contributor to National Geographic publications. As Director of Information and Technology for the Marine Mammal Society, Katherina works with all of the Society’s committees and also advises and supports the Society on communication and outreach strategy. Katherina also advises the IUCN International Marine Mammal Protected Areas Committee and the IUCN Marine Mammal Protected Areas Working Groupon communication strategy and is the North American representative for SOMEMMA, the Mexican Marine Mammal Society.
