Chris Biertuempfel Associate Director of Oceanic Society’s California Programs, including the long-running Farallon Islands whale watching program as well as the Critter Scholars Program that provides educational field-trips for students from underserved communities. Chris also works as a naturalist and guide on trips to San Francisco’s Farallon Islands as well as on multi-day wildlife expeditions in Mexico, Indonesia, and elsewhere.
