Ketut Sarjana Putra is a marine conservation leader with 30+ years of experience advancing sustainable development and ocean protection in Indonesia. He has helped shape national policies for marine conservation, endangered species, and sustainable financing, while working with local communities, governments, and global partners. Ketut has led efforts such as the Bird’s Head Seascape in West Papua, Indonesia, a globally recognized model for community-based marine conservation, and the Blue Abadi Fund, which ensures long-term protection of critical marine ecosystems. He recently launched a blue carbon program in Kaimana, West Papua, Indonesia, advancing nature-based climate solutions.
