Leading Nature Travel Expeditions Since 1969

For more than 55 years, Oceanic Society nature expeditions have brought people face-to-face with some of the world's most extraordinary places and wildlife—not just to observe, but to actively support in their protection.

We are pioneers in naturalist-guided experiential travel for nature lovers, offering eco-tours, snorkeling trips, wildlife tours, whale watching, and more. We believe experiences are richer when shared with others, which is why we specialize in small-group trips for travelers eager to connect with nature and support conservation.

Every Expedition Supports Ocean Conservation

As America’s oldest 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to ocean conservation, each of our expeditions is designed to support our mission, deepen connections between people and the sea, and give travelers a direct, hands-on role in preserving marine ecosystems. Through Oceanic Society’s Expedition Impact Program, your journey supports global ocean conservation, coral restoration, and efforts to offset plastic pollution. For every traveler, we fund the removal of 200 lbs of marine debris and plant three climate-resistant corals in Indonesia’s marine protected waters.
