Saloon
The indoor saloon is air-conditioned and furnished for leisure between dives. It includes a dining room where meals are served and a lounge with flat-screen TV and home cinema surround sound. Guests have access to snacks, tea, coffee, and soft drinks throughout the day.
Deck
The dive deck provides ample space for preparation, with personal storage areas and freshwater showers. Two fiberglass tenders with 100 HP engines support transfers to dive sites. Nitrox is available onboard, and rental dive gear can be arranged. Facilities include DIN adaptors and charging stations. A 4:1 guest-to-guide ratio ensures detailed briefings and small dive groups for personalized attention.
Safety Gear
Safety is a top priority. The Hatiku is equipped with full safety gear, including radar, VHF/DSC/SSB radio, life jackets, life rafts, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency flares, oxygen kits, first aid kits, and a bilge pump alarm. A satellite phone and EPIRB distress system are also carried, and emergency procedures are clearly posted onboard.
History
The Hatiku is a Phinisi, a traditional Indonesian wooden sailing vessel with a centuries-old history. Originally built by the Bugis people of Sulawesi for trade and transport across the archipelago, Phinisi boats have evolved into popular liveaboard vessels for divers and explorers. Their distinctive design and craftsmanship provide both practicality and a connection to Indonesia’s maritime heritage, creating an authentic experience while you explore the region’s incredible underwater landscapes.
