Travel that Supports Ocean Conservation

Oceanic Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean conservation, and our nature travel program is one of the pillars of our work to improve ocean health. Beyond the incredible experiences we facilitate for our travelers, every trip we lead aims to support ocean conservation in the places we visit in a variety of ways:

  • We partner with local nonprofits, researchers, and tour operators who are committed to ocean conservation to assure that our travel dollars have a positive impact in every location we visit.
  • We fund the removal of an average of 200 pounds of plastic from the marine environment for every traveler we serve through our innovative Traveler Plastic Pollution Offset Program.
  • We provide small grants for ocean research and conservation work by our travel partners through our Expeditions Impact Fund.
  • We reinvest any profits we earn into our global ocean conservation programs that protect sea turtles, fight plastic pollution, improve access to nature experiences, and more.

We hope to see you out in nature soon!
